Japanese Fashion on the Cheap: Kira Kira Shop

It’s already time for the third installment of my Affordable Japanese Fashion series. Check out part one here and part two here. Today I’ll be talking about Kira Kira Shop! Just so you know, this is a modest / casual girly fashion brand. See here for more details on the types of mainstream Japanese fashions that are popular today.

Let’s get started!

Price

Importantly, price. Kira Kira Shop is pretty cheap at around 2,200 yen for skirts and even less for cardigans and pants. This makes it the cheapest of the three shops I’ve talked about so far, and I think it’s because Kira Kira Shop isn’t featured in any magazines (don’t quote me on that, though, I don’t really read a lot of casual fashion magazines). Tocco Closet appears in Steady.

Clothes

Like I said, Kira Kira Shop is a modest / casual girly fashion brand. The clothes are mostly work appropriate, like long modest skirts and palazzo pants. At the time of writing, these palazzo pants are the top-selling item. They’re only 1,600 yen!

But, they also have comfy casual pieces. Look at this sweater! How cozy would it be to snuggle up on the couch in this in the winter? Just under 2,000 yen.

Kira Kira Shop

A dress from their one-piece collection. Something like this could easily fit into any look with the right accessories. Especially since it comes in 5 different colors and only costs 2,000 yen.

And then you have your accessories (bag, scarves, costume jewelry) and your shoes. This bangle is their top-selling accessory at the moment; it’s less than 1,000 yen.

Here is a jean jacket dress/top I thought was pretty adorable, 2,700 yen.

And there you have it! If you want to check out Kira Kira Shop, you can check out their website here. If you’re wondering how to buy those things when you don’t live in Japan, check out Tenso, a forwarding service. This post is not sponsored, I just want you to know you don’t have to break the bank to look good.

  • Hi Tokyo Girl,

Would you be able to tell me the addresses of the Fifth Store and Kira Kira Shop? I wasn’t able to find them through their site or google. I have a trip to Tokyo in May and would love to visit these stores!

    Thanks so much! 🙂

    • Hi Andy! Those are web stores. I don’t think they have any bricks and mortar locations, except there was an Edit Sheen popup store recently (Fifth sells Edit Sheen brand).
