Review for Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Game for iOS

Lately I’ve been obsessed with Love Nikki – Dress Up Queen, a role-playing game for phones. It’s produced by a Chinese video game developer called Elex Wireless, but the art style is very anime and cute!

Let me just start off by saying that the funnest aspect of this game is collecting the clothes and matching suits, hands down. And there are so many ways to get them. Consecutive logins, the shop, upgrade existing clothes, create new clothes from existing materials, participate in events, the Wheel of Mystery… And this game was also ingeniously designed with an RNG reward system after each level to keep you playing the same level over and over again in the hopes of getting the reward drop.

The object of the game is to defeat your opponents…with your sense of style! It’s way more fun than it sounds. Each level is a different styling challenge, and you have to dress Nikki (that’s you) up according to it. For example, if the challenge is innocent schoolgirl, you’ve got to choose clothes from your wardrobe that will get you more points to win.

Compete over your sense of style.

Each piece of clothing has two attributes, like elegant and pure or cute and lively, which helps you decide which clothes are appropriate for each challenge. Some clothes are further categorized according to style, like unisex, OL, Chinese classical and punk. And you can choose EVERYTHING, from hair to skin color, and each one has different qualities. If only it was that easy to do your hair in real life.

As you’re going through the levels, which are divided into chapters, there’s an overall storyline you follow as well. You progress through 8 kingdoms, each one with it’s own different style. For example, the northern kingdom has military and winter items.

In conclusion…

I just kind of stumbled onto this Love Nikki game through an ad on Instagram and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve even spent money on it, and I’m the type of person that opened up fake Facebook accounts when Candy Crush was cool so I could send free lives to myself instead of paying.

Not sponsored, it’s free to try so check it out and let me know what you think!
